HABSMUN 2018 Executive Team

Rishi Hindocha

Secretary-General and Head of IT

Rishi is in his last year at HABS, studying Maths, Further Maths, Physics and History, hoping to study Computer Science at university. Being Head of IT for HABSMUN 2017 allowed him to gain a much deeper understanding of the conference and developed his passion for HABSMUN. Looking to HABSMUN 2018, he can't wait to serve as Secretary-General, which will allow him to work on all aspects of the conference. Having said this, Rishi will continue to be in charge of all of the technology at the conference including the website, approvals panel, MyHABSMUN and delegate mobile app and he will continue to take the conference's technology to new heights.

Abbas Kermalli

Secretary-General

Abbas is currently in his final year at HABS, studying Mathematics, Biology and Politics, hoping to read Law at university. Having first attended HABSMUN in Year 9, he hopes to conclude at HABSMUN 2018. Over the years he has found MUN an incredibly rewarding activity, developing his oratory and debating skills, as well as giving him an interesting insight into the difficulties that are presented when trying to solve the problems of today. Last year Abbas was President of the General Assembly. Outside of MUN, Abbas is a House Captain and served as the Chairman of the Mencap Committee. He looks forward to welcoming you to what will be an unforgettable 20th and final conference.

Abhiram Bibekar

President of the General Assembly

Abhiram is studying Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry in his final year at HABS, with a view to studying Physics at university. Having participated in numerous MUN conferences, he has found that the opportunity to engage in intellectual and constructive debate has greatly developed his appreciation of global affairs and the art of negotiation. His experiences have also complemented his work outside MUN, particularly within the school Debating Society where he serves as Debating Captain. Abhiram thoroughly enjoyed his role as Head Commissioner for the Special Commission at HABSMUN 2017 and cannot wait for the great success that he is sure HABSMUN 2018 will prove to be.

Dhruv Kaushik

President of the General Assembly

Dhruv is currently studying History, Spanish and Maths in his final year at HABS, and hopes to read Politics and International Relations at university. Outside of MUN, Jamie studies Philosophy, Latin and English Literature, hoping to study Philosophy and Linguistics at University, and is also Head of the CCF Navy section. Kiran is in his final year at HABS studying Maths, Chemistry and Biology, and aspires to pursue a career in medicine. Kiran looks forward to seeing you at what promises to be the most memorable HABSMUN conference to date.

Paras Shah

Head of Reprographics

Paras is the Head of Reprographics for HABSMUN 2018. He joined HABS in 2007, and is now in his final year. He is studying Maths, Geography and Physics and is hoping to continue Geography at university level. Part of that interest for Geography ties in strongly with topical and current issues, which is why MUN provides a perfect platform for these to be discussed and debated - it is a crucial link to everything. Outside MUN, Paras is an accomplished water polo player and an avid musician, playing both the piano and violin. As well as this, he likes to help weekly at a charity organisation, run by the youth for the youth. The organisational and teamwork skills that he has gained from his work with various teams, organisations and activities should ensure that HABSMUN this year runs effortlessly. He is looking forward to make this the best conference yet, especially since it is the 10th year of HABSMUN!
